Tom Segady received his Ph.D. in sociology in 1985. Since then, he has taught in several universities for over thirty years, in his home state of Colorado, in Pune, India, but mostly in Texas. Over his career, he has received two Fulbright grants to conduct research in Germany and India, and is the author of over twenty refereed articles in his academic field.
